Initial and continuing airworthiness
In order for the aircraft to be capable of safe air navigation, its airworthiness status shall be established at entry to the national aircraft register and monitored continuously up to an extract from the aircraft register. This concept is referred to as “initial and continuing airworthiness”.
Depending on the purpose for which the aircraft is operated, continuing airworthiness may be maintained by:
- air carrier or stand-alone organisation;
- owner of the aircraft or user.
The air carrier or independent continuing airworthiness management organisation must be approved by the Civil Aviation Agency of the Republic of Slovenia.
