Civil Aviation Agency of the Republic of Slovenia (the Agency) issued the oral decision to Adria Airways

Dear interested parties,   or / To whom it may concern

On 19 September 2019, at 4 p.m., the Civil Aviation Agency of the Republic of Slovenia (the Agency) issued the oral decision to Adria Airways (AA) d.o.o.,  applying as from 19 September 2019, on prohibition of the conduct of flight operations with the airplanes Bombardier type CRJ900  (CL-600-2D24)  with the registration mark S5-AAU and type CRJ900 (CL-600-2D24) with the registration mark S5-AAV because of the termination of the lease agreement by the lessor, Trident Aviation Leasing Service, and consequently the deletion of the lessee, Adria Airways d.o.o., from the  Aircraft Register of the Republic of Slovenia as a user of these airplanes.

The Agency will issue a written decision concerning this matter within five (5) days (Article 174 of the Aviation Act).

On the initiative of those responsible at AA, the Agency’s management and inspectors met with AA late yesterday afternoon. During the meeting, the representatives of AA informed the Agency of the current situation and developments in the company. Subsequently, they gave a written assurance that their flight operations with other aircraft entered on the Air Operator Certificate (AOC) are safe.

The procedures currently conducted by the Agency with respect to the air carrier shall be carried out independently from current developments in the company.
