Certificate of airworthiness

Any natural or legal person under whose name an aircraft is registered or will be registered in a Member State Republic of Slovenia (“Member State of registry”), or its representative, shall be eligible as an applicant for an airworthiness certificate for that aircraft under this Subpart.

In accordance with Commission Regulation (EU) No 748/2012, a Certificate of Airworthiness can be issued to aircraft which conform to a type-certificate that has been issued in accordance with this Annex I (Part 21).

Issued Airworthiness certificate can be:

  1. Certificates of Airworthiness (EASA Form 25) for aircraft which conform to a type-certificate that has been issued in accordance with this Annex I (Part 21);
  2. Restricted Certificates of Airworthiness (EASA Form 24) for aircraft:
    • which conform to a restricted type-certificate that has been issued in accordance with this Annex I (Part 21); or
    • which have been shown to the Agency to comply with specific airworthiness specifications ensuring adequate safety

For issuing the Certificate of Airworthiness, an applicant shall submit the application form (below in table). The form shall be accompanied by several documents under point A), B) and C) which vary according to the particularities of each case; i.e. whether the aircraft a new or used and whether the aircraft is:

  • transferred within the EU (Union); or
  • imported into the EU

In case of a transfer of a second-hand aircraft with a valid Airworthiness Review Certificate (ARC), the validation of an Airworthiness Review Certificate is done simultaneously with the issuance of the Certificates of Airworthiness.

For a new aircraft, the Airworthiness Review certificate is issued together with the Certificate of Airworthiness.
