Assuring and promoting safety and compliance are our core business functions. We are committed to developing, implementing, maintaining and constantly improving strategies and processes to ensure that all our aviation activities are aimed at achieving the highest level of safety performance and meeting national and international aviation legislative requirements and standards, as well as promoting safety culture among the aviation organisations (Compliance monitoring and safety management system policy).
ICAO Annex 19 promotes a common approach to safety management and safety oversight in all areas of aviation. In accordance with ICAO Annex 19 and European regulations, EASA has developed a Management System Assessment Tool designed to be suitable for use by competent authorities as well as organizations to assess the effectiveness of their own management system (SMS) with a view to continuous improvement.
