Annual Aviation Safety Review

In order to inform the public about the level of safety in civil aviation, each Member State shall publish an aviation safety review at least on annual basis. The annual safety review shall contain information in aggregated and anonymised format about the types of civil aviation occurrences and other safety related information reported under national mandatory and voluntary reporting systems and defines the trends and actions taken.

The Annual Aviation Safety Review for 2016, which was prepared by the CAA, Slovenia, is the first such annual report. The preparation of the annual safety review will become a standard practice, since the report will be prepared after each completed year, as it is prescribed in point 11 of Article 13 Regulation (EU) No 376/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 3 April 2014 on the reporting, analysis and follow-up of occurrences in civil aviation, amending Regulation (EU) No 996/2010 of the European Parliament and of the Council and repealing Directive 2003/42/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council and Commission Regulations (EC) No 1321/2007 and (EC) No 1330/2007.
